Why are so many teens addicted to playing Fortnite?
Teens are addicted to playing Fortnite, It was already addictive before, when it was only available on PC, PS4, and Xbox, but now you can take it with you wherever you go. There is widespread debate over which (Fortnite or PUBG) is the superior game. I cannot disclose my opinion on that; I would fear for my personal safety either way.
I can sincerely say Fortnite (and PUBG) mobile has made me look forward to going to school for the first time ever. I view playing Fortnite (or PUBG) with my friends as an authentic bonding experience. I am aware of how depressing that all sounds.in this case in the classrooms, because educators have not made their lessons more engaging than Fortnite. So until teachers can find a way to compete with the video games, unfortunately kids will play Fortnite because they are lead to believe it is a better use of their time than getting an education. However, it is not to say it is entirely the educators fault for not creating an engaging, and entertaining, classroom environment, as part of the problem is that some kids don’t have very good common sense of the value of education because some kids don’t understand just how lucky they are to receive an education, no matter what you may say about our flaw filled education system.
For developing a successful online video game, you need some key elements, one of the human psychology. Same technic they use to build “ Poker game.” Human is always attracted to rewards and fortnite like games are so much rich about this. For example, you might win the small part of a game and you will be rewarded with small gift unlock or open new option or maybe get a new skin, Celebratory music, dancing all around, it makes you feel the ultimate battle warrior. Guess what will happen next: it increases your hunger to get more.
Professor Yucel is a clinical neuropsychologist at Monash University and specialist in addiction, he has explained why people get addicted in this video game “ fortnite are designed to exploit the brain’s vulnerabilities in the same way poker machines do.” Small small wins inside the game trigger a dopamine burst in the brain’s rewards system that triggers the habit system.
“ It will say, you should keep going because there is mastery, social status or winning to be gain,”
